JAS 3 set fix coupler is a top model of our super deluxe 3 ½ octave range of Harmoniums. Fix coupler is an octave coupler design similar to the Scale changer octave couplers. Keys of the Keyboards are not the standard spring-loaded keys. Keys are made in two separate sections. The front section is pivoted on the slot of the middle rack, and the back section is pivoted on the rack fitted at the top of the reed board. Spike-shaped wooden sticks pivot under the keys on thin metal pins to operate the octave key. It is a very skilful job to make the fixed coupler. It requires high-quality workmanship and high-quality seasoned hardwood. This intricate coupler design makes a feather touch keyboard, which requires insignificant finger pressure to play on the keys. Also, in a fix coupler, the reeds of the octave keys speak on the same sound level, which creates a powerful full-organ sound. Product Materials
The cabinet of the Super Deluxe Fix Coupler model harmonium is made from good quality Indian teak wood, which is stained and finished with lacquer. Bellows are made of good-quality laminated cardboard. French polish, Wood colour sealer and lacquer were applied to finish the instrument. Handmade brass reeds are fixed on the reed board inside the chamber of the harmonium. Keyboard keys are covered with nylon material for smooth playing.
